Baby Birds

While Danny was at work, he found a dumpster that was full of several birds nests with some baby birds.  He decided he was going to rescue the birds.  Danny brought worms home with the birds.   All of the girls were so intrigued by the birds!

Playland

We had some time to kill while waiting to pick up Aliah & Brynn from school so we went to playland at Del Taco.  Gigi didn't want to come down.

PIRATE ISLAND

On Wednesday we went to pirate island.  Pirate Island is a pizza and pasta place that is decorated similar to Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland.  The servers are pirates.  They have story and activity time free to children wednesdays.   The girls made a cute little craft project.  We had lunch and they played a couple of games in the arcade.  It was another fun day.  The girls both fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Storytime

On Wednesday, I took the girls to story time at the Orem Library.  The storyteller brought an accordian with her.  They got to sing and dance.  Gigi wanted to get on the stage soooo badly!!

Glasses

Chloe lost her 3D glasses in the theater so she took over mine.  The girls were obsessed with the glasses.  They really were quite cute in the movie.  The dragons were all they could talk about for 2 days after the movie.

Movie Day

On Tuesday, Chloe, Gigi, and I had a movie date with one of my friends Melmer.  We went to see How to Train a Dragon in 3D.  The girls had a great time!

Dancing GIGI

The girls were SO HAPPY with their new skirts!!  They didn't want to take them off even when it was bed time.

Cute Gigi

Gigi & Chloe

Chloe & Gigi

The girls went to Costco with me today.  They found some BEAUTIFUL dancing skirts.  They were so EXCITED to put them on and dance.

Peek-A-Boo!!

Chloe & Gigi in the tunnels at Kangaroo Zoo.  They are TOO CUTE!

SLIDES

Gigi had no fear.  She marched right up to the top of the slide and kept going over and over again.  She met some little boys here and they had a blast!

More Kangaroo ZOO

Kangaroo ZOO

Kangaroo Zoo proved to be a favorite for the girls.  It is a big warehouse that is full of inflatable toys.  The majority of the toys were large slides.  Gigi was SO MAD when it was time to leave-- she wanted to play longer.   I promised we'd go back to play another day.

Lagoon Day

On Saturday, May 8, we went to Lagoon.  Aliah had her cheerleading party.  We had a great time.   Lagoon has a really large section of rides for toddlers.  Chloe & Gigi had a great time.  Aliah & Brynn spent a good portion of time hanging out with Aliah's cheerleading friends.  Danny & I LOVED watching the girls have so much fun.   Danny ended the night with a ride on Wicked-- It wasn't quite what he'd expected and I think he was happy he couldn't go on that one again.

Feeding the Goats

Gigi was so brave!!  Chloe would throw the corn through the fence but Gigi was happy to feed the goats.   She wanted more corn so she could keep feeding the goats.   We saw a colt and a baby calf.  The girls were both intrigued by all of the farm animals.

Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point

Gigi and Chloe went to farm country.  Gigi chose the BIGGEST pony for her pony ride.  She did great and was very pleased that she did it all by herself!

More Color ME Mine

Gigi LOVED painting her hands.  She made perfect little handprints on her vase for her mommy.   I'll have to post a picture of the finished product when we pick it up.

COLOR ME MINE-- Mother's Day Surprise

I took Gigi to Color Me Mine to make a mother's day gift for her mommy.  She had a great time.  Gigi chose to paint a vase.   She wanted to paint it pink.  It looks white now but should be pink after it is all finished.
Both girls were really SAD when it was time to leave the park however, both were asleep in the car before we were at the freeway :)!
Chloe and Gigi fed the ducks at the park.

Gigi LOVES Slides!

Picnic at the Park

Gigi LOVED the swings!!  We visted Nielsen Grove Park in Orem.  We had a picnic and then we fed the ducks it was alot of fun for the girls.
Another day of adventure-- I just wish I would've remembered to take pictures!!  Tuesday May 4 was another day full of fun!!  We spent the morning watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (the little girls' favorite).  After breakfast, they spread out a blanket on the floor and cuddled up with their stuffed mickey and minnie mouse.  Gigi and Chloe yell "OH TOODLES" with the best of them!!
The afternoon brought a meeting at work for me.  I ran upstairs to put my contacts in, upon returning to the kitchen, I found a HUGE PUDDLE of water all over the kitchen floor.  Both girls who were previously neatly dressed, were now sopping wet.   Apparently it was great fun making a waterfall out of the refrigerator water dispenser.  Already running behind for the meeting, I grabbed Gigi and took her to my work meeting while Danny got to clean up Chloe and the kitchen.
At the meeting, Gigi met a coworker of mine and bonded quickly with her.   Cherie let Gianna play with her ipod--they were instant friends.   After the meeting, Gigi  exclaimed---- BYE, BYE GRANDMA!!  Needless to say-- Cherie asks about Gigi every day at work.
Having some errands to run, I stopped at the mall with Gianna.   She LOVED the wishing water.  She threw many coins in, and was quite sad when it was time to go home.
I LOVE having such SWEET little girls around!!!  Chloe is so happy to have a playmate all the time now!
Where did the rest of April go?  Gigi has been getting along well.  She goes with Danny and Chloe to pick up the girls after school.   They have stopped at the park on most of those days.  I use this time to take my quick nap before work.  When they get home, it is so cute the little girls (Gigi and Chloe) always run through the door yelling with excitement that "LaLa (Aliah) and Brynn are here."   I LOVE their EXCITEMENT!!
On Day 1, we went to The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy.  Gigi had a great time!  Every month, we have a play group that goes somewhere fun.  Gigi met several new children and seemed to really enjoy her day.   Grandma Lila came with us.   Gigi was able to touch some stingrays (stingers removed of coarse) she also was able to see them being fed.   She liked the penguins but not as much as she liked watching the sharks.   Chloe is really excited to have a playmate!

This is a new blog for the adventures of Gigi while she is staying with us for the next few months.  We are so happy to have her!  Chloe LOVES having a playmate during the day!
